Christmas time!

 I had fun doing some Christmas crafts with my friends. I made a star and some tree decorations using ice block sticks. 

Wilrose Pasifika Festival

 We had our own Pasifika Festival at Wilrose. There were different groups who performed poi, Samoan slap dancing, a Haka, hula dancing and then there was my group ....... the noisiest of all ....... the cook island drumming group. It was so much fun! 

Guys Group - Gingerbread House

 We went to check out the Xmas decorations at the Strand. there was a giant gingerbread house that we added some painted rocks to. We also had fun going through some hanging green strings that felt weird. 

Target practice

 I had a good laugh with the guys group, we were knocking down bottles with bullets from the toy gun and hitting the target with the archery set. 

Out and About (The Strand and Carmichael Reserve)

 I love to get out and about when the weather is good. I wet out to The Strand to see the Rena photo exhibition, people watch and meet my friend Jared. Then me and my new mate Bruce went to feed the ducks at Carmichael Reserve. 

Kindness award

 I was so happy to win the kindness award for October. Everyone clapped and cheered for me! 

Music and Karaoke

 What a fun way to end the week - singing and bopping my legs to my friends singing. I really enjoy music as the last session of the week at Wilrose. 

Sensory Smelling Book

Check this out - it’s a rhyming story all about ME and each page has its own scent. There is lavender, sweet orange, sandalwood and more. My friend Moeata and I enjoyed looking (and smelling) through it! 

Sports

 I loved getting out of my chair in sports and doing some stretching, breathing and meditation with all my friends. 

Out in the Garden

 Bring on the warmer weather" I love getting out in the Wilrose garden. I spent some time out there this week with my friend Paul under the umbrella and listened to all the bird sounds. 

DJ Spin Disco

 I had the best day at Wilrose …… DJ Spin came and entertained us with some great music. There was fun and dancing all day and we had a yummy pumpkin soup for lunch! 

Group Painting Project and Sensory Fun

 I got involved in a group art project - everyone in the centre is adding their own touch to this painting. I used a roller with help from my friend Angie. Then I had fun with the sensory trays. 

Sensory - Exploring Ice

 We had a lot of fun in the sensory room. Angie had made some frozen things for us to explore - there were lots of different icy things to touch and look at. 

Birthday Boy

 I was the birthday boy on Friday! My dad brought in a big chocolate cake that I shared with all my friends. Everyone sang happy birthday to me! I spent the morning out at Carmichael Reserve feeding the ducks and sang and danced in the karaoke session in the afternoon. 

Music quiz

 What a fun morning! We all had a music and movie quiz. There were lots of songs  and the dancing round made me laugh so much.
