Awesome 80's disco at Arohanui!

We got invited to a fundraising event at our Wilrose centre.  They are fundraising for their up coming camp next year and thought that every one would enjoy having a boogie with music, themes and costumes from the 80's.  There was lots of Fluor!!!

Firemen at Arohanui!

We were very lucky to be able to have the Tauranga Firestation Staff come down to our centre and explain to us what to do in a fire.  We ran through what to say on the phone to the call centre, and also where Arohanui's special meeting place is for a fire.  The fireman even let us try on their uniform!

Sports Time!

I really enjoy sports session time.  It's a chance to get out of my chair and throw some balls around.  I love seeing them bounce in all different directions.  I even get to chase them all over the place and pick them up and throw them as far as I can.

Heros in our community...

In guys group we have been learning about transport and different vechiles.  We are also exploring what our emergency departments and workers do in NZ.  Our focus at the moment is the Firemen and the important role that they play in our society.

Amongst the Stars!

I am enjoying listening to a CD called 'The Planets' which is a classical piece. We have made some rockets to enjoy touching and viewing.  They also create shadows on the wall!  I also really enjoy the laser lights-as I get to follow the amazing patterns that they make.

Trip to Carmichael Reserve

We had a fantastic outing to Carmichael Reserve. There were really big dusk, geese, and Pukekos.  We fed a loaf of bread to them, they were so hungry!  We had such great weather for it.

Computers/iPad

I got creative in computers today on the iPad, I think I look pretty cool!!!!
